Core Curriculum for Nephrology Nursing

In 2007 I was asked to be one of three co-authors of the Therapeutic Apheresis chapter in the study guide for the nephrology nursing certification exam. My former boss, Regina Rohe, Sheila Smith and I wrote the chapter for Therapeutic Apheresis. It was an incredible learning experience for me. These two founders and giants in the Apheresis field had taught me everything they knew about Apheresis and then asked me to write about this field with them. I am eternally grateful to have worked and learned from these 2 great women. I am no longer with the Apheresis Care Group, a mobile team of nurses and doctors who travel all over the Bay Area treating patients with apheresis. Now I am on the other side collecting the blood so this and other companies will have the replacement fluids they need to save lives. Thank you to Regina Rohe and Sheila Smith for this opportunity to write with them.
