This site is for student nurses or nurses starting out. Letters to a Young Nurse are blog posts written like letters to help you find your way and make your journey as a nurse less difficult. 



The Greater Good Science Center, part of UC Berkely has an amazing number of free resources for educators, parents and families, health professionals, workplace leaders and researchers. There are online classes in different subjects. You can get a daily dose of goodness in your email by subscribing to one of their many newsletters. Go to

My favorite resource there is the Happiness Calendar. Every month there is a new calendar with exercises and links in areas of sociology, health, wellness, psychology and so much more. I would love to work for them, but Berkely is a little far from my residence.

Studies have shown that if you want to change a behavior you must perform the new behavior for at least 21 days. Try 31 days. If you do every exercise I bet in 21 days you will be happier and more grateful! Let me know how it worked for you.
